Our services may include house removals, flat removals, office moves, packing assistance, storage-related transport, furniture handling and other agreed moving services.
3. Website Use
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not use this website in a way that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the website, or interfere with another user's use.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, the server on which it is stored, or any connected system or database.
4. Quotes and Estimates
Any quote or estimate provided through our website, by email, by phone or by message is based on the information supplied by you at the time of enquiry.
Quotes may be subject to change if the details of the move change, including but not limited to:
- Pickup or delivery location changes
- Property type or access conditions
- Additional items or increased load volume
- Stairs, lifts or restricted access
- Changes to date, timing or service level
- Special handling requirements
A quote should not be treated as a final confirmed booking unless accepted and confirmed by D&G Movers.
5. Bookings and Service Availability
All bookings are subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse, reschedule or decline a booking where it is not practical, safe or commercially viable to proceed.
Booking times provided are estimates unless otherwise expressly confirmed. Traffic, weather, property access issues and operational circumstances may affect timing.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:
- The information provided to us is accurate and complete
- All items to be moved are declared properly
- Access arrangements are clearly communicated in advance
- Parking or access permissions are arranged where needed
- Fragile, valuable or high-risk items are identified before the move
- Any special handling requirements are disclosed in advance
Customers must also ensure that items are legally owned or lawfully under their control and may legally be transported.
7. Restricted and Prohibited Items
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, D&G Movers does not undertake to transport illegal, hazardous, dangerous or prohibited items.
Examples may include:
- Explosives, weapons or ammunition
- Illegal goods or substances
- Hazardous chemicals or flammable materials
- Perishable items not suitable for transport
- Items requiring specialist licences or permits
We reserve the right to refuse transport of any item we reasonably believe may present a risk, legal issue or safety concern.
8. Delays and Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic disruption, road closures, severe weather, accidents, access restrictions, mechanical breakdowns, labour shortages or unforeseen operational events.
9. Damage and Liability
We take reasonable care in handling and transporting goods. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, D&G Movers shall not be liable for loss or damage arising from:
- Insufficient or unsuitable packing by the customer
- Pre-existing damage or wear to items
- Fragile goods not disclosed in advance
- Structural weakness or hidden defects in furniture
- Loss arising from inaccurate instructions or missing information
- Delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Payments
Payment terms may vary depending on the service, booking type and agreement between D&G Movers and the customer. Where payment is required in advance, the booking may not be confirmed until payment is received.
We reserve the right to request deposits, staged payments or full payment in advance where appropriate.
11. Cancellations and Changes
If you need to change or cancel a booking, you should contact us as soon as possible. Depending on the timing of the cancellation, work already undertaken, or resources allocated, charges may still apply.
D&G Movers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services where required for operational, safety or legal reasons.
